Foster Wheeler Italiana is one of the major Italian engineering and contracting companies offering its clients advanced design and engineering technologies, modern project management techniques and an intimate knowledge of world markets.
The approximately 1,000 technical staff and supporting office personnel are headquartered in several buildings in Corsico-Milano.
Foster Wheeler Italiana undertakes a complete range of services including engineering, construction and project management and is structured in five divisions:

These divisions work under policy directives of a single management and share a common general services system.
The company was established as a corporate entity in 1957 and is a wholly-owned affiliate of the parent company Foster Wheeler Continental Europe, also based in Corsico-Milano, Italy.

Foster Wheeler’s Spanish affiliate commenced operations in 1965 and has achieved a leading position among engineering companies in the country. In the last 30 years, the company has designed and built a very high proportion of Spain’s refining capacity (complete refineries, expansions and individual units) as well substantial involvement in fertilisers and chemicals. Work is also undertaken outside Spain. Foster Wheeler Iberia, with some 360 employees, is based in Madrid. The company employs a full range of staff to provide project management, design, engineering, procurement and construction services. Through an affiliate company, Foster Wheeler Iberia also has a substantial involvement in the design and engineering of fired heaters and boilers
- Foster Wheeler Bimas, Istanbul
Foster Wheeler Bimas is one of the oldest and leading engineering and construction companies in Turkey. Bimas was established in 1973 by Foster Wheeler and Sungurlar Isi San to meet Turkey’s demand for high calibre engineering and drafting services. Illustrating Foster Wheeler’s dedication to the region, it acquired the remaining shares of the company and renamed the organisation Foster Wheeler Bimas. With nearly 30 years of experience in design and engineering, Foster Wheeler Bimas has executed several grassroots, revamp and expansion projects with an international clientele including Rolls Royce, Dow Chemicals, PPG, Mission, Energy Westinghouse and Mobil. Located in Istanbul, Foster Wheeler Bimas’ office houses 100 technical staff. Foster Wheeler Bimas is linked to all Foster Wheeler operating centres allowing the exchange of information around the globe. Bimas serves the petroleum refinery, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other general industries in Turkey.
- Foster Wheeler Chile, Santiago
Foster Wheeler Chile, S.A. was established in Santiago de Chile in 1990 and it is a company fully owned by Foster Wheeler Iberia. Since its creation, Foster Wheeler Chile has been mainly involved in the petroleum, petrochemical and energy industries. Among its clients in these industrial sectors, it is necessary to mention ENAP, the Chilean production and refining state company. During the last sixteen years, Foster Wheeler Chile had been carrying out a great number of major projects for the state company, either by its own or in collaboration with Foster Wheeler Iberia or Foster Wheeler USA. In the industrial sector, Foster Wheeler Chile had completed projects related to the plastic, pharmaceutical, aluminum and glass, etc. industry. Presently the total company staff includes about 95 employees, being 70 technical and most of them having received a training in the other Foster Wheeler operating centers. The company capacity of manhours per annum is 140.000 approximatively. It is important to mention that the whole Foster Wheeler Chile staff uses the same IT tools, procedures, and standards that all the offices in the Corporation. Foster Wheeler Chile has three permanent offices in the country, one in Santiago de Chile which is the headquarters; and two regional ones, in Concón and Talcahuano respectively which offer their services to the refineries and the plants located in the area

Foster Wheeler AG is a company 100% owned by Foster Wheeler Italiana, located in Basel, Switzerland. It is operational since 1997. Foster Wheeler AG is a permanent German speaking operation and represents a strategic support of the Foster Wheeler Groups’ mission in the pharmaceutical field. Services that Foster Wheeler AG can provide range from conceptual, basic and detail design to construction management, start-up services, qualification and validation services, in cooperation with other Foster Wheeler offices. Business fields in which Foster Wheeler AG operates are R&D and production facilities for primary production plants (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in the chemical and biotech sectors and secondary plants (solida, liquida). Foster Wheeler AG, with the support of the entire Foster Wheeler Group can provide complete engineering packages from process to validation, assisting both local clients and foreign clients in projects to be built locally or abroad.

The new Foster Wheeler Company in Moscow (OOOFW Russia) is registered and established by the beginning of 2006 The local team has been empowered with the integration of resources from both Russia and FW International group, increasing the technical and commercial capabilities of the existing organisation.
OOOFW Russia is serving in the areas of Feasibility studies, Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Services, Fired Heater Equipment sales and follow-up services both in Russia and CIS Countries.- Foster Wheeler Hellas, Athens
Foster Wheeler Hellas was established in 1996 in Athens to maximize Greek content and participation to local projects.
The company has taken part in major expansions and modernization projects of the local refinery facilities in cooperation with Foster Wheeler Italiana whose capabilities have been leveraged to provide full services to both private organizations and state owned companies in the refining, chemical and power generation industry.
