- Environmental Policy
- The Environmental Policy(external link) states the commitment of the Company towards the sustainable environmental responsibility in order to achieve continual improvement in managing all of its activities (development, engineering, operation and plant dismissal). It represents the driver for implementing and improving the company’s Environment Managing System.
The document, signed by the company's CEO on the 14th of September 2006, was legally approved by FW Power's Board of Directors and was sent to all the involved people, employees, suppliers and Institutions t and it's available to anyone who may request it. - Environment Managing System (EMS)

The CE n.761/01 (EMAS II) regulations defines the Environment Managing System (EMS) as part of the overall management system that includes the organizational structure, the planning activities, the responsibilities, the procedures and resources needed to develop, enforce, imply, and review the Environmental Policy.
The first environmental analysis allowed the company to point out the more significant environmental aspects. In accordance with the guidelines listed in Environmental Policy, FW Power has defined its enviromental objective for the period 2007 - 2010. These goals are listed in the Environmental Program that contains clear indications on responsibility, timing and means to be used to achieve them.
The Environment Manual it's the document that contains modes and criteria by which the EMS was realized, managed and reviewed: it guides the decision-making process and identifies and controls those activities that could have an environmental impact.
For those activities and for the more complex operations, FW Power has adopted specific Environmental Procedures (environmental issues, legal issues, garbage disposal, handling and managing toxic and dangerous substances) and Operational Procedures (periodical start up of the power plant, data transfer, water testing, containing walls test, etc...). The EMS controls environmental aspects of the Vallesaccarda's Power Plant.
Periodically the company holds environmental audits to check that everything is in compliance with the law statements and which progress has been made since the previous audits. The audit's results are then examined by the Direction that supervise the improvement program and review the strategies to obtain it.
The last step of the Environment Managing System is the creation of the Environment Declaration certified by the Competent Auditor and to produce the EMAS registration by the Ecolabel e Ecoaudit Commit.

The Environmental Declaration(external link) , published in 2007, it's the document that describes the Environment Managing System (EMS) that FW Power has implemented for managing the developing of every-other process involved in the realization of the plant.
Nowadays the Environment Managing System (EMS) only regards the Vallesaccarda's plant. The company wants also to include in the EMS registered with EMAS the new plant of Scampitella.
