Scampitella Wind Farm
The plant, located in the Scampitella municipality (AV – south Italy), is based on sixteen state-of-the-art 2 MW wind turbine generators, for an overall installed capacity of 32 MW and an expected electricity production per year of 65 GWh financed trough a “limited recourse” project financing scheme.
The construction of the plant started on April 2007. The construction activities are managed by Foster Wheeler Italiana under a service contract that covers engineering, procurement, construction, supervision, commissioning and start-up services.
The plant is expected to start commercial operation by December 2008.
