- VACUUM HEATER INSTALLATION
Client:
JSC Mozyr Refinery
Location:
Mozyr, Republic of Belarus
Completion Year:
See key milestones below
Nature of Project:
New Vacuum Distillation Heater
Scope of Work:
The JSC Mozyr oil refinery in the Republic of Belarus recently completed the installation of a new vacuum distillation heater, which had been assembled directly within the 1.800.000 tpy vacuum distillation (UVDM) unit. With a challenging schedule of 12 months from contract signature to start-up, the 350-ton fired heater fabricated module was moved onto existing foundations. Careful project planning meant it was possible to achieve the installation in less than 30 days, well within the scheduled vacuum unit turnaround. The newly installed fired heater dramatically improved the process unit performance.

- VISBREAKER HEATER
Client:
LUKOIL Odessa Refinery
Location:
Odessa, Ukraine
Completion Year:
Ex-works within end of May 2007
Nature of Project:
Visbreaker Heater, Item P -101
Scope of Work:
Engineering and material supply of Nr. 1 Visbreaker Heater P - 101 including Air Preheating System to preheat the combustion air.
The Visbreaker Heater P - 101 is a cabin type single cell heater with horizontal tubes. The convection section is foreseen with process tubes and steam superheater coil.
One self-supporting stack (~ 40 meters above grade) is placed at the top of convection section in order to discharge the flue gas to atmosphere.
An air preheating system is provided in order to achieve the specified efficiency of the Heater P – 101. The air preheating system is composed of fix recuperative flue gas-combustion air exchanger installed at grade.
The air preheating system can be by-passed both combustion air side and flue gas side to allow maintenance of air preheater exchanger and induced fan. When the air preheater is passed, the cold air is fed to the burners by means of the forced draught fan while the flue gas is sent directly to the stack.- PRIMARY REFORMER REVAMPING PROJECT
Client:
AMMONIA CASALE for SABIC Al-Bayroni Ammonia Plant
Location:
Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia
Completion Year:
Ex-works within January 2008
Nature of Project:
Primary Reformer Revamping Project
Scope of Work:
Design and material supply for revamping of the Top Fired Kellogg Reformer heater, Item Nr. 101-B installed in SABIC/Al-Bayroni Ammonia Plant.
The existing Reformer heater is composed by radiant section and convection section, divided into two parts: hot leg and cold leg.
The radiant section is composed by 416 catalyst tubes disposed in eight rows.
The required draught is provided by one induced draft fan located driven by one steam turbine.
The flue gases are discharged to the grade mounted stack.
The revamping activities concern the complete recoil of radiant section and hot leg.
- In radiant section the new pressure parts supplied are suitable for future capacity increase (more than 30%).
The new pressure parts have upgraded metallurgy with micro-alloy centrifugally cast 25Cr-35Ni catalyst tubes.
Inlet pigtail and the hot outlet system have also been upgraded to stainless steel and nickel alloy metallurgy - In convection section provision for future capacity increase have been included by upgrading tube support design and metallurgy, together with material upgrading for some service
- In radiant section the new pressure parts supplied are suitable for future capacity increase (more than 30%).
- HEAT RECOVERY WATER PACKAGE
Client:
SNAMPROGETTI for Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant Saudi Aramco
Location:
Saudi Arabia
Completion Year:
September 2007
Nature of Project:
Heat Recovery Water Package
Scope of Work:
Engineering and material supply of Nr. 1 Heat Recovery Water Package Item B68-U-102 A/B/C/D and relevant ancillaries, for Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant in Saudi Arabia.
The Heat Recovery Water package B68-U-102 A/B/C/D cool down the exhaust gases from the Gas Turbines with two hot water heat recovery units disposed in parallel.
The exhaust gases leave the Gas Turbine in a common duct equipped with a silencer.
The hot gases are split into two ducts by means of multi louvers dampers and each duct includes a hot water service. In the larger duct flue gases are cooled down to produce Low pressure hot water, while in the smaller duct flue gases are cooled down to produce Medium pressure hot water.
Flue gas flowrate to each duct is controlled by hot water outlet temperature.
The excess flue gas is sent under pressure control to the stack to suit the required hot water duty. Pressure control is achieved by a multi louver damper located at stack base in horizontal position.
The cold flue gases leaving the hot water heaters are sent to the outlet stacks, one located at LP hot water heater outlet and one located at MP hot water heater outlet.
One bypass stack and two outlet stacks are provided per each hot water unit.
Both Low pressure and Medium pressure hot water heat recovery units are designed for no flow conditions and are suitable to withstand the Gas Turbine exhaust temperature.
Each hot water equipment can be shut down independently with the Gas Turbine in operation.- STEAM REFORMER HEATER PACKAGE
