D.Lgs. 231/01
Legislative Decree 231 issued on June 8th, 2001 disciplines the administrative responsibility of companies, stating that a company can be held responsible, and consequently subject to fines, for any attempt to commit offence or any actual offence committed by the company's directors or employees in the interests or to the advantage of the company itself.
Companies can adopt organisational, management and control models designed to prevent these offences.
Foster Wheeler Italiana S.p.A. has adopted an organizational and management model based upon the guidelines issued by Confindustria (Italian Manufacturers' Association), and has issued the relevant policy “Adozione di un Modello di organizzazione e gestione ex D.Lgs. 231/01”(external link).
