Lomellina Energia S.r.l. is a company owned by MF Waste S.r.l. (Foster Wheeler Italiana S.p.A. - 49%, and COGEME Gestione S.p.A. - 51%) - 80%, and ASM ISA S.p.A. -20%. The company scope is the development, construction and operation of the 380.000 t/y Waste to Energy Plant located in the municipality of Parona (PV).
Set up in 1995, by Foster Wheeler Italiana S.p.A., the company has focused the activities in the development, construction and direct operation of the Waste to Energy Plant located in the municipality of Parona (Pavia- Italy).
The WTE Plant in Parona is based on the Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler Technology (by Foster Wheeler).
The WTE Plant is constituted by two lines, each one includes one CFB boiler, flue gas treatment, steam turbine generator and air coolers. The overall net power production is 37 MWe.
Constructed by Foster Wheeler Italiana under a turn key contract, the WTE first line is in commercial operation since 2000, while the second line will be in operation by September 2007.
