460 MW Combined Cycle Plant integrated with Auto Thermal Reforming (ATR) of natural gas. The Combined Cycle includes two gas turbines H2 rich gas turbines fed with the syngas (model GE9C), two RSG’s and one condensing type steam turbine. CO2 is separated from syngas and compressed for Enhanced Oil Recovery. The contract is managed by FW UK with support from Milan
Scope of Work:
The scope includes pre-FEED and FEED activities. Pre-FEED activities performed by FWI - Feasibility study to assess H2 generation and Carbon Capture Technologies to produce H2 rich fuel for CCGT (pre-combustion decarbonization); - Alternative process schemes for HRGS’s (with and without heat integration with process units); - Plant availability and operability issues in case of different degrees of our integration between GT and ATR or ASU; - Evaluation of plant operability in transient conditions for different alternative schemes (air integration, heat integration, air or O2 blown); - Comparison of post-combustion and precombustion decarbonization based on evaluation of technical risk, capex and opex; - Screening of gas turbines suitable to burn a H2 rich fuel. FEED activities FWI scope: - Power plant design (Combined Cycle); - Integration of Power Plant with process units; - Control phylosophy of the whole plant; - Grid Code Compliance; - Design phylosophy of the electrical system of the whole plant; - Conditioning of GT supply. FWUK scope: - Overall management - Design of process units and utilities.

FWI is BOO partner in Lomellina Energia and was the LSTK EPC contractor.
